A proposed graphite drilling project in South Dakota’s Black Hills has officially been canceled after strong opposition from Native American tribes and advocacy groups. The project, led by Rapid City-based Pete Lien & Sons, faced backlash because of its location near Pe’ Sla, a sacred site where Sioux tribes pray, hold ceremonies and gather throughout the year. The area is also used for buffalo grazing and holds deep cultural and spiritual importance. After lawsuits were filed and a temporary restraining order stopped drilling activities, the company decided to withdraw the project entirely. $GPHOF $NMG $SYAAF $MP According to: https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/black-hills-graphite-drilling-canceled-tribal-opposition/

The U.S. is getting more hands-on in the graphite space. The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation is turning a $31M loan into equity in Syrah Resources Ltd., which will give it about a 20% stake. They’re also putting in another $15M to support Syrah’s graphite project in Mozambique, one of the largest out there. It’s a clear move to lock in supply of critical minerals and rely less on China, especially with how important graphite is for EV batteries. $SYAAF "...announces that the US Department of Commerce (“DOC”) has finalised its affirmative determination on the antidumping and countervailing duty (“AD/CVD”) investigation into graphite active anode material (“AAM”) products imported into the United States from China1 . DOC determined aggregate AD/CVD rates of at least ~160% on Chinese AAM imports. Implementation of the AD/CVD measures at these rates is subject to a final affirmative determination by the US International Trade Commission (“ITC”) in March 2026...." 👃👀 https://yourir.info/resources/be9de7e9fc799de2/announcements/syr.asx/3A686955/SYR_Graphite_AAM_AD_CVD_rates_of_at_least_160_finalised.pdf

$SYAAF So this company mines high-grade graphite in Mozambique and transports it for processing, including to their downstream Active Anode Material (AAM) facility in Vidalia, Louisiana, USA? Looks like a shell company to take advantage of tax breaks while claiming American made so they can try to get EV grants and clean energy grants. All while paying large amounts to lobbyist and hedge funds trying to crash other graphite companies that actually have American graphite in the ground and local. Sounds about right for American greed. Just curious if this is what I heard correctly?
