Plasma pTau217: After 169 days, 68.5% of all patients showed a clear reduction in harmful proteins to levels below their baseline. The average reduction across all participants was 15%. This stands in direct contrast to untreated patients, in whom this value steadily rises as the disease progresses.
CSF MTBR-tau243 : 62.5% of all patients exhibited a measurable reduction in tau-tangle-specific proteins. The average reduction in cerebrospinal fluid was 13.3%. Since this marker represents insoluble fibers, any decrease in the cerebrospinal fluid is considered a strong indicator that the degeneration of brain cells is slowing down. Note for interpretation: The fact that the responder rates (68.5% and 62.5%) are strikingly close to the actual drug-to-placebo distribution of 75% (based on the 3:1 study design) provides extremely strong mathematical evidence that the cases of deterioration are almost exclusively attributable to the placebo patients.
