Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and Red Cat Holdings were named among 25 vendors invited to compete in Phase I of the U.S. Department of War’s Drone Dominance Program. The companies will participate in the “Gauntlet” evaluation beginning Feb. 18 at Fort Benning, where military operators will test vendor systems. The evaluation is expected to conclude in early March, with roughly
$150 million in prototype delivery orders anticipated shortly afterward.
The program represents a major opportunity for defense contractors, with
$1.1 billion allocated across four phases. The initiative aims to rapidly deploy low-cost, one-way attack drones to strengthen U.S. military capabilities. Red Cat’s subsidiary Teal Drones and Kratos SRE were included among the selected participants.
