Amcor reported fiscal Q4 adjusted EPS of
$1.23, up 23% year over year and ahead of the
$1.19 consensus, while revenue reached
$6.4 billion, nearly 6% above expectations. However, the strong headline results were overshadowed by weaker-than-expected cash generation and a cautious outlook.
Full-year free cash flow came in at
$1.3 billion, roughly
$200 million below forecasts, largely due to a significant working-capital impact. Amcor also guided for
$1.80-
$1.90 in adjusted EPS for the six-month transition period ending December 2026, leaving investors with limited room for upside surprises.
Analyst sentiment was mixed. RBC Capital initiated coverage with a Hold rating, tempering the bullish tone from UBS, which had begun coverage the previous day with a Buy rating and a
$56 price target. Amcor shares initially opened at
$48, their intraday high, before falling to
$45.90 as investors shifted their focus from the earnings beat to cash flow and forward visibility.
