In the Mining.com.au feature published August 12, KBX.c, $KBXFF CEO James Hedalen explains why BHP Metals Exploration entered the Western Malargüe district of Mendoza Province, Argentina at the grassroots stage instead: "In general, major miners are looking for tier-one deposits with district-scale potential, not small, standalone discoveries." Seven projects, 73,334 hectares (733 km²), multiple porphyry targets. Kobrea stays operator through the two-year project generation phase, after which BHP Metals may elect to assume operatorship. Alteration, veining and sulphide intensity all increase with depth, so $KBXFF reads the core of the system as sitting deeper and still untested.
