Cassiar Gold Corp. (OTCQX:
$CGLCF | TSXV: GLDC) presented at the Precious Metals and Critical Minerals Virtual Investor Conference on July 22, where President and Chief Executive Officer Marco Roque took investors through the Cassiar South project area in northern British Columbia. Cassiar South holds four past producing underground mines, 25 kilometres of historical underground workings and a permitted mill, all on ground the company owns outright. Highway 37 bisects the 590 square kilometre Cassiar Gold Property and separates its two project areas, with 160 kilometres of access roads, power and a permanent camp serving the southern ground project.
The southern project area carries a production history that frames what a restart would be built on:
• The four underground mines produced more than 300,000 ounces, mostly through the 1980s and 1990s, at grades between 10 and more than 20 grams per tonne
• Roque said the high grade vein systems average about three metres wide and run between 10 and 20 grams per tonne, and that known veins have been extended and remain open
• Established mine permits cover the southern ground, including the Table Mountain area and the fully owned 300 tonne per day mill
• Roque said guidance from re-permitting specialists points to a window of 18 to 24 months Regarding the cost of reproducing what is already on the ground, Marco Roque, President and CEO of Cassiar Gold Corp., observed: “I would say that if we wanted to replicate everything that we have today, I would say that’s probably just north of 200 million US dollars.”
