$ALP has an Outstanding Shares count of 23.43M only. I think this concern over dilution is a bit exaggerated. Ultimately, I don't expect the Outstanding Shares to stay so low forever and if you don't expect the company to make more shares available AT HIGHER PRICES, you're unaware of how small public companies grow. This happens every day. What we don't want is for the company to make more shares available AT LOW PRICES (eg. less than
$1/share) while it's trying to stay NASDAQ-compliant. This fear of dilution is mere FUD.
* a
$400M ATM (at-the-market) share offering program
How many shares is that? Maybe they'll add 100M shares at
$4?
* a
$420.69M shelf registration
How many shares is that? Maybe they'll add 100M shares at
$4.2069?
* and multiple warrant/share financings at low prices.
