Abacus operates under an originate-to-distribute model with book turnover of about 2x annually. Their revenue comes from origination fees, management fees, and servicing fees rather than from holding mortality risk long term. The model is designed to be capital-light with recurring fee income streams. $ABX

The life settlements market has about 2% penetration right now with $4 billion in annual originations. The total addressable market is estimated at $224 billion annually. That leaves a lot of room for growth in this space. $ABX

$ALCY Cartiga investor presentation. This smells a lot like Abacus Life $ABX an atypical financial play going public via SPAC. Ask 0.11 on warrants. I got some but have moved bids lower for now since it's still pre de'spac https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1901336/000110465926040480/tm2611140d1_ex99-1.htm

The sample policy in the $ABX investor deck shows a $400K purchase on a $1M face value policy with 84-month life expectancy. That works out to a 10% IRR for the buyer. The seller gets more than they would from surrendering the policy to the insurance company.

$ABX A lot of people keep posting very similar information in the exact same format and structure. Doesn’t that seem a little suspicious?

Abacus operates under an originate-to-distribute model with about 2x annual book turnover. They make money from origination fees, management fees, and servicing fees rather than holding onto the mortality risk long term. Revenue comes from the volume of deals they do, not whether people live or die. $ABX

The life settlements market has about $224 billion in annual addressable opportunity but only sees around $4 billion in actual originations. That works out to roughly 2% market penetration right now. $ABX operates in this space as an originator and asset manager.

Abacus follows an originate-to-distribute model which means they don't keep the mortality risk on their books long term. Their book turns over about 2x per year. Revenue comes from origination fees, management fees, and servicing fees rather than betting on when people die. $ABX

Just learned that $ABX follows an originate-to-distribute model with about 2x annual book turnover. They make money from origination fees, management fees, and servicing fees rather than holding the policies long term. Pretty capital efficient setup.
