$SVAC No private company has yet achieved fusion ignition at this point, and has only been achieved in 2022 by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. This is ignition only, not a sustained reaction that can be commercially designed and implemented. Scientists just do NOT know how to do it yet. If that is so - a fusion design has not been discovered/developed yet - how can any timelines be predicted and presented by a company? All these fusion startups can be banking on tech that just does not work, whether now or potentially ever. Those long the spac - what is the thought process? I want to throw some money at this, but unsure how to justify to myself.
