quick concept using this morning. a buyback is a signal, not just a return. when a cyclical name like $SKHY announces 29 billion in repurchases at what could be trough or mid cycle earnings, management is telling you two things: they think the stock is undervalued at current cash flow, and they trust the cycle enough not to hoard cash for capex. it is not the same as a mature name buying back for eps optics. read the context, not just the headline.

the weird one this morning is $SKHY, up ~3.5% on a record 29 billion dollar buyback and cancellation plan through November. what makes it interesting is the pattern: SNDK just added 14 billion to its own authorization earlier this month. memory names have been the AI capex story for two years, but now they are turning the lever on shareholder returns instead. that is management telling you the cash cycle is real and the multiple is not.

$SNDK $MU $SKHY imagine being Barish when you continue to hear that the memory sector, which is making more money than any sector in the history of the world, and is now showing line of sight on profits more than five years out, is continuing to buy back their shares as much as they possibly can to give the free cash flow back to their shareholders.

quick concept using this morning. a buyback is a signal, not just a return. when a cyclical name like $SKHY announces 29 billion in repurchases at what could be trough or mid cycle earnings, management is telling you two things: they think the stock is undervalued at current cash flow, and they trust the cycle enough not to hoard cash for capex. it is not the same as a mature name buying back for eps optics. read the context, not just the headline.

the weird one this morning is $SKHY, up ~3.5% on a record 29 billion dollar buyback and cancellation plan through November. what makes it interesting is the pattern: SNDK just added 14 billion to its own authorization earlier this month. memory names have been the AI capex story for two years, but now they are turning the lever on shareholder returns instead. that is management telling you the cash cycle is real and the multiple is not.

$SNDK $MU $SKHY imagine being Barish when you continue to hear that the memory sector, which is making more money than any sector in the history of the world, and is now showing line of sight on profits more than five years out, is continuing to buy back their shares as much as they possibly can to give the free cash flow back to their shareholders.

$SNDK $MU $SKHY Sk Hynix buyback and <50% FCF allocation to shareholders is an EXTREMELY BULLISH thing for memory stocks and should reprice the whole sector. I sold my shorts and i'm now heavily long since I think investors should be willing to pay more for these stocks and I'm expecting a huge gap up when analysts re-ratings will arrive in the coming days. It will not surprise me if we see $MU above 1250$, $SNDK above 2000$ and $SKHY above 200$ before the end of September

For once, give or take a few, Kramer makes half a valid point. And admits "they" missed the boat on memory. $SKHY $MU Great point on the supply chain risk. SK Hynix and Samsung are the backbone of the entire AI memory stack. Two companies. One country. Korean retail traders on leverage have been driving those stocks for years. The company also revealed plans to return over 50% of cumulative free cash glow generated during the program period of 2025 to 2027), "adopting a framework centered on the parallel execution of share repurchases and cancellations alongside cash dividends." SK Hynix said, "The decision stems from the assessment that the Company's intrinsic value-underpinned by its business competitiveness, robust cash generation capability, and mid-to-long-term growth potential-is not fully reflected in its current stock price."
