$SIVEF A lot of momentum building behind this stock. It surged +60.84% in just the past week and I think this is just the start of a strong momentum meltup rally. The CEOs of $AAOI and $MTSI said on their recent earnings calls that the next emerging bottleneck is in the Photonic lasers that run on Indium Phosphide (InP) that transmit long strings of data in AI Data Centers. I’ve accumulated a sizable position now in $SIVEF and I’m ready for this stock to rip to new all time highs and beyond in H2 2026-2029. While $LITE is the Safer Bet, $SIVEF remains the High Risk, High Reward Lottery Ticket Play. I like my chances here!

If you're watching $AAOI, $LITE and $COHR, don't overlook $MTSI. Think of it as the upstream component play behind the optical stack. $AAOI / $LITE / $COHR monetize the optical module + laser layer, while $MTSI provides the high-performance analog “plumbing” — drivers, TIAs and related components. The real opportunity is content growth: 800G → 1.6T → 3.2T means more lanes, more complexity, and potentially more dollars captured per link. Are you exposed across multiple layers of the optical AI stack? Visit my profile for the latest trading ideas, strategies, and market insights.

THE OPTICS TRADE COULD BE THE NEXT AI INFRASTRUCTURE WINNER Missed the memory trade in 2026 with MU and SNDK? The next major opportunity may come from the next layer of the AI buildout. As AI clusters scale and networking moves from 800G to 1.6T+, demand for optical infrastructure could accelerate into 2027. AAOI earnings may help set the tone. My optics watchlist: $APH $MTSI $VIAV $ALAB Memory was one of the biggest AI themes of 2026. Now I’m watching whether optics becomes one of the biggest AI infrastructure themes of 2027. AI needs more than compute. It needs bandwidth.

The headline wasn't the earnings beat. The real story was the outlook. $MTSI just projected Q4 revenue of $415M-$425M, pointing to roughly 24% sequential growth after posting an already impressive 18% QoQ increase. That's the kind of guidance that usually signals demand is accelerating, not peaking. To me, this reinforces the strength of the 800G and 1.6T optical upgrade cycle and adds another bullish signal for the AI networking theme. Watch names like $AAOI, $ALAB, $MRVL and $AVGO. The entire optical supply chain continues to benefit as AI infrastructure spending remains strong.

$LITE continues to stand out as a leader in AI photonics. Lumentum remains a market leader in laser chips, one of the key components enabling high-speed optical connectivity inside AI data centers. As AI clusters grow larger, the demand for optical interconnects continues to rise because traditional copper solutions struggle with bandwidth and power efficiency. Names I'm watching across the optical ecosystem: $LITE — Laser chip leader $COHR — Optical components & photonics $MTSI — RF and optical solutions $AVGO — Networking and AI connectivity The AI infrastructure buildout isn't just about GPUs anymore. The next bottlenecks are networking, optics, and bandwidth. If hyperscaler capex remains elevated, companies supplying the optical layer could continue to benefit as AI clusters scale. The physical AI infrastructure story is still in its early innings. Follow me for AI infrastructure, photonics, and semiconductor insights.

Photonics may be facing a new bottleneck as AI infrastructure scales. Key names to watch: $LITE $COHR $AAOI $SIVE $MTSI A recent Citi report highlighted a widening supply-demand gap for CW lasers. The reason: Multiple AI optical architectures are ramping simultaneously, creating increased demand for laser components across the ecosystem into 2027-2028. The key question is shifting from: “Will AI demand continue?” to: “Can the photonics supply chain keep up?” Companies positioned in critical optical components could benefit if supply remains constrained. The next phase of AI infrastructure may not only be about GPUs, memory, and power — photonics could become one of the key bottlenecks.
