Leifras Co. was awarded a three-year contract to manage community-based club activities for public junior high schools in Monbetsu, Hokkaido, starting in April 2026. The agreement supports the city’s transition from school-led extracurricular programs to community-operated clubs under the so-called “Monbetsu Model,” aimed at countering declining student participation caused by Japan’s shrinking youth population.
By consolidating activities across three municipal schools, the initiative will expand access to sports and extracurricular options. The contract adds to Leifras’ growing nationwide portfolio of school club support services, which has seen strong growth in revenue and contracted schools. The company has also recently secured major projects in urban areas such as Nagoya, Tokyo’s Minato district, and Suita in Osaka, reinforcing its expansion strategy.
