$NTAP picked up more aug 150 calls. Imho they will raise guidance before er on august and may end up like $smci played out earlier in the year. The way george was pissed off about the deception going on with flash technology he will be out to prove how netapp is much more advanced. Also with the new cco coming on board next month expect strong momentum to continue This is still a story for 2024 and 2025. Assuming of course nobody has picked this up yet by aug.

@indievestments i still feel if this is to go through it will land less than 185 per share just based on where it started at 80s to where it is today plus premium. Iv is low and the way they been guiding they want a conservative shareholder base moving forward. Recall gsky sold for less than 50% premium The only risk going forward at this point is time.

@indievestments actually when i saw another defection from $pstg to $ntap made me think, could it actually be pure in play? Thinking giancarlo is from silver lake and has the backing from the likes it could also be in the race to sell as being the last of the standalones could only make things difficult. May explain why kurian is also very emotional about the bs. Again i seen this as when isilon and 3par sold years ago. While $cvlt got stuck and didnt make a deal Reading the tea leaves however, pure isnt one a company like $avgo will want since they will keep top talent to continue innovation, while a company consolidating will let go of people on the fly. The only side i see in a takeover that will reduce significant headcount is the 3000 sales heads mentioned today
