$CB Chubb readying to make $350M payout to Maryland over bridge collapse, WSJ says Chubb, the insurer of the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, is preparing a $350M payout to Maryland, which is the upper limit of the state's coverage of the bridge, Jean Eaglesham of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing the bridge's broker. The estimated damage is expected to be over $1B. Chubb, along with the state and families of the victims, will likely sue the shipowner to recoup its losses.

$CB These are some kick ass number for the insurance company. Growing at 17% annual clip for next 5 years and the forward PE is 10. Even for insurance stock, that is freaking cheap. I am buying long term $270 calls. It should be closer to $300 next year.

$CB Net income was $2.14 billion, up 13.3%, and core operating income was $2.22 billion, up 20.3%.
Global P&C net premiums written, which excludes Agriculture, were up 13.3%, with commercial insurance up 11.1% and consumer insurance up 19.3%.
Overseas General was up 17.5%, with growth of 27.1% in consumer insurance and 12.2% in commercial insurance; Asia, Latin America, and Europe were up 34.7%, 17.5%, and 8.6%, respectively.
P&C underwriting income was $1.40 billion, up 15.4%, with a combined ratio of 86.0%. P&C current accident year underwriting income excluding catastrophe losses was $1.63 billion, up 10.3%, with a combined ratio of 83.7%.
Life Insurance net premiums written were $1.63 billion, up 26.3%, and segment income was $268 million, up 9.8%.
Pre-tax net investment income was $1.39 billion, up 25.7%, and adjusted net investment income was $1.48 billion, up 23.5%.
Annualized return on equity (ROE) was 14.3%.

$CB Cannot believe @cnbc analysts recommended this stock today. There is zero reason to buy this stock. It had a tremendous run to ATH, rolled over & IMO looks like the beginning of a Stage 4 decline. - Near double top and sloppy H&S -Lost the 10 week and 50 day - Lost the YTD Anchored VWAP, so everyone who bought this year on average is a bagholder. Avg price paid for all share 246.10. - Lost the lowest low AVWAP - Only a few more volume shelves below for support then selling could pick up. -RSI is about to go below 30 and RS way below the entire S&P
