$RIG Counting the newly acquired Aquila, RIG has 36 total rigs of which 24 have contracts. 2 are Idle. Inspiration and DDIII. 10 are cold stacked. Ultra-deepwater fleet average day rate has inc’d by approximately 33% to $416K per day. $416 x 90 days = 37.44M per drillship, If that applied for 24 rigs, that would be 898.56M if all 24 are up and running for that average $416 day rate. Based upon current firm backlog, we expect this average rate to increase to $437,000 per day. Now Day rates hit $505K.

$RIG I think management passed on few Petrobras contracts because it didn’t meet cash flow standards so I’m sure cat and mouse games are hard because companies thinking RIG needs deals to help deleverage. If Oil spikes again for summer driving or geopolitical reasons it will be some nice contracts signed at high rates that are in the 9th inning stage of negotiations imho
