$ORGN The emotions are so overwhelming. It's like I have seen a whole new world. How could I have been so wrong. I've been crying in my room all evening. My mom even came in and comforted me with a cup of warm milk. I can't wait until Monday to buy more. I've got to load up before earnings!

@EveryGoodNameWasTaken - It's a question of DIRECTION. Yes, the PET market (and PE, and PS) will remain strong for years to come. But where will market leaders like Coke & Pepsi & Nestle & Danone want to place their bets for the future? PET, PE, and PS are environmentally stable plastics, as is becoming painfully obvious by the frightening evidence of the concentration of microplastics in our oceans, our food, and even our bodies. Unless we can persuade the entire world to manage these plastics responsibly, the problem will only get worse, with new plastics entering the environment much faster than the environment can remove them. Anything $ORGN does with caps and closures will, at best, increase recycling vs. landfilling in the Developed World. But that's not where 95% of environmental plastics come from. The vast majority come from improper disposal in the Third World, and PET / tethered bottle caps will not change that one bit.

@WireX - Anyone paying attention here knows I am no fan of $ORGN, but to claim their burn rate is $165M per year on an ongoing basis is ridiculous. The $165M burn that was cited includes a huge amount of the spending for the construction of O1. That money has been spent, and ONGOING costs at O1 are far. far lower, and at least to some extent balanced by revenue from product sales. $ORGN also laid off ~60 people in Nov. 2023. That cripples their ability to advance the CMF technology, IMO, but it definitely reduces the burn rate. I'd expect $5 - 6 million per month as a net burn rate, assuming modest revenue from O1 and no revenue (yet) from bottle caps. That's $60 - $72 million per year, not even half of $165 million.
