$MPW Tell that to the executives of the hospitals who sold the land and buildings to MPW. But this isn't even their problem. Rent makes up a small part of their expenses and isn't even close to the reason why they're suffering. Steward even said it themselves. Steward would be fine if it wasn't for awful management and being stripped of their assets by their previous owners.
