$CVS Stay focused and don't lose sight on what CVS will do for the remainder of this year. Lower numbers for 1Q were due to the expected loss of a large customer but they will be reporting numbers this year from new large customer wins. Also, they needed to set aside $500 million for any future claims that may arise from the Cyber Attack in March that affect several Health Service providers.

$CVS From 1Q 2024 Results and Call Transcript. GAAP earnings per share for 2024 earnings revised estimate which is forward looking and is the lower of the 2 estimates is $5.64 per share, while non-GAAP earnings are $7.00 per share "at least" for both. I expect these numbers to be exceeded. If you use the non-GAAP earnings of $7.00 per share, which most companies use, then CVS is trading at a much lower Price to Earnings ratio of 7.97x earnings as per yesterday's close of $55.82. Using the GAAP Earnings estimates for 2024 of $5.64, CVS is trading as of Friday's close of $55.82 at 9.897x Earnings. Current Yield using Friday's close of $55.82, CVS pays $2.66 annual dividend which translates into a 4.76% Annual Yield at the current share price. FWIW, the Price to Earnings ratios and Yield keeps changing in relation to the closing price, so it's difficult to be accurate. CVS Health is undervalued. Buy at the low or sell at the lows, it's an individual choice. We're at or near multi-year lows.
