$AMSC cont. $24 Million in cash is not a position for anything that requires a cash investment, therefore, I am glad they have $70+ Million in cash now. In 2020 they had a shelf offering of something like $300 Million. They used, I think $55 Million and the rest expired in January 2024. This new shelf offering is imo, simply a continuation of the shelf offering that expired in January 2024. IMO it is totally justified regardless of whether or not they will ever use the remainder of the shelf offering or not. They did not use all the 2020 shelf. I am glad they drew on the offering for $60 Million no matter what they use it for. Everybody knows that growth very often requires investments. With only $24 Million in cash before the new money they are too close to the edge for comfort and unable to invest comfortably and exhaust they flimsy cash position. I am glad that amsc is no longer in danger of running out of cash, I don't care how anybody else "Feels" like they are being robbed.

$AMSC After reading all the complaints about the recent offering it has sort of pushed me into the other direction. Not so much as I disagree but that there are many other ways to FEEL about it. And, imo those posters are posting about their feelings. I ean no disrespect for other's feelings but just putting my reactionary feeling out there. It's always difficult to remember pain. That is something that I think everybody knows. But facts linger. I remember the fear for many years about the "fact" that amsc was burning cash every quarter and their cash position seemed to be in great danger. A lt of people it seems have already forgotten why the SP went down to $3s not to very long ago. Cash burn and cash position played a big part. With this offering that worry is history. cont.

$AMSC Management sucked up all the new buyers in their offering at 11.25 per share and capped probable upward movement. My hope for holding: meet guidance and continue positive guidance that would bring in new buyers at this price. My fear of holding: By offering shares at 11.25, management is necessarily forecasting that the present value of money at $11.25 is greater than the future value of shares for the next year or two. Either way, near term running out of cash is no longer an issue, which also puts somewhat of a floor on the current share price. Basically, AMSCs recent management decisions may lead to a micro version of share price stagflation/volatility up and down for the next year or so that is analogous/reflective to a 1970s version of macro US economic stagflation.

$AMSC Averages The 5 Quarter TTM EPS has crossed above the 10 Quarter TT EPS. 5 Qtr. ave. is now just above $8. 10 Qtr. ave, just below $8. 15 Qtr. ave. is still well above both 15 Qtr. ave. above $10.50 15 quarters is a little less than 4 years. The charts are telling us that amsc is in essentially the same shape as it has been over the last 4 years. hahahahaha. The charts are telling us that amsc is only worth 7% more than it has been on average over the last 4 years. hahahahahaha.

$AMSC cont. I renewed my CA driver's license in Feb 2024 and I "OPTED OUT" when the form asked if I wanted to register to vote. I OPTED OUT because I am already registered. The DMV ignored my choice and sent me another ballot for the March 5 primary. I asked the DMV and I asked the poll worker in charge and they shook their heads and essentially said it was my problem to correct not theirs. These motor voter Laws are just one of the many ways to cheat by flooding the field with unaccountable mail in ballots. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/04/this-will-be-sleeper-issue-2024-democrat-election/

Eligible applicants completing a driver license, identification (ID) card or change of address transaction online, by mail or in person at the DMV will be automatically registered to vote by the California Secretary of State, unless they choose to opt out of automatic voter registration."... cont.

$AMSC This piece is not easy reading but is exactly about the products that amsc offers. A two-year study by this group is, I guess, a guide for utilities. Each project is unique and one of a kind. This is the same thing amsc does when they take a project and propose a solution to the customer. I take it that this will encourage utilities to use this report as a guide when faced with adding wind and solar to their GRID to help them understand what D-VAR or what VVO, or what capacitor bank, or what transformer/inverter they will need when they are looking at connecting renewables to the GRID. Keep in mind, there is heavy competition out there for all the solutions that amsc makes a bid for. McGahn has mentioned it and the seeking alpha guy said it in more detail in the article last week. That said, I am guessing this report will be a positive for amsc in marketing their product line in the USA.

$AMSC Average SP The average SP over almost 4 years is just a bit over $10.50. The SP is up about $1.60 over the 3 3/4-year average price. Does anyone really think that nothing of interest has happened over the last 4 years? Foolishness in chart thinking me thinks.

$AMSC Rare-earth barium copper oxide (ReBCO) is a family of chemical compounds known for exhibiting high-temperature superconductivity (HTS). These ReBCO superconductors have the potential to sustain stronger magnetic fields than other superconductor materials1. Yttrium barium copper oxide (YBCO) is one of the most famous ReBCO compounds. It was the first superconductor found with a critical temperature above the boiling point of liquid nitrogen. ReBCO materials are used in technical applications where conventional low-temperature superconductors do not suffice, including magnetic confinement fusion reactors and superconducting magnets for future particle accelerators. These superconductors are promising for creating high-field magnets in fields such as nuclear magnetic resonance, the food and drug industry, and large research facilities. ReBCO high-temperature superconducting tape can conduct electricity with zero electrical resistance and can be manufactured in flexible, long lengths

$AMSC About the planning for the new Navy Destroyer ..."Program funding for 10 DDG 51 class destroyers at a steady rate of two ships per year across the FYDP including eight of the ten ships in the FY2023 to FY2027 MYP. Delays procurement of DDG(X) to FY2032. Pursuing an FY2032 construction start for DDG(X) sustains DDG 51 Flight III production while reducing execution risk through land-based testing of the integrated power system and new hull form. "... DDG-51 fl. 3 is the status quo. DDG(X) is the one being designed and now scheduled to start in 2032. We are almost halfway through the 2020s so the 20230's are not really that far off when one starts to imagine what the new "integrated power system" might be and the possibility that amsc might be a player in this new "power system" It looks like they are going to be "testing" this new power system on land before 2032. That's 8 years away. I imagine that they will have to start the concept and design schedule pretty soon.

$AMSC I had hoped that these Frigates would use amsc's SPS but I guess not. However, there is one thing I read about the program a while back is the built-in flexibility of the program. There has always been an issue about how long it takes to make design changes for Navy ships. For instance, LPD-28 was given the go ahead in 2017 and it s just now almost in the fleet, 7 years later. Larger ships take even longer. The Navy has started to take into account design changes and scheduled them into the planned acquisition. Keeping in mind the flexibility also applies to the flexibility and that nothing is cast in stone anymore. Keeping that in mind, the original plan was to make it a requirement that for Frigate #6 and above, the motor must be "Made in America". FFG-62, the first Frigate will not be completed until 2026 at least, so the sixth Frigate will probably be bought in 2025 and completed in the next decade. Plenty of time for amsc to build and test a prototype motor. cont.
